Don’t even think about rolling your eyes, but I like to think I’d be vegan without the definition. I’ve been documenting my everyday vegan food experiences and culinary projects on Let’s Get Sconed!, which then moved here, since late 2005.
I’m still a late 20-something living in SE Portland with 2 cats, a love of colorful, local produce, a longing for snowflakes, a boring day job, obsession with cooking, and a growing enthusiasm for hand-crafted mixology.
I’m a disciple of the Post Punk Kitchen and have been a recipe tester for Veganomicon, Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar, Vegan Brunch, Appetite for Reduction and the latest, Vegan Pie in the Sky. More information on Isa and Terry’s growing array of wonders is here.
I’m an original co-author of Stumptown Vegans, along with my friend Webly. Since the Spring of 2007, Stumptown Vegans featured in-depth restaurant reviews in Portland, OR and beyond. We (very) periodically record podcasts, ranging from food-obsessed conversations about the best food carts in town to interviews with local ‘foodies’. This website was one of the first vegan-specific, local resources, and although it isn’t updated as often as one may like, I’m still incredibly proud of its history and have evolving thoughts on internet commentary.
I dedicate much of my time as a co-director of Portland’s Vegan Iron Chef and Vida Vegan Con.
